Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, including medical history and vital signs.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Administer injections and medications according to established protocols and provider orders.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) with a focus on accuracy and HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate patient appointments and facilitate communication between patients and the care team.
- Handle front desk duties such as answering phones and processing insurance verification when needed.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications.
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
