Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare them for examinations or procedures.
- Clinical Duties: Accurately measure and record vital signs, assist providers with minor procedures, and perform phlebotomy (blood draws) as required.
- Administrative Support: Maintain and update patient medical records in the EHR system, schedule appointments, and handle front-desk duties during shifts.
- Lab Coordination: Collect and process lab specimens, ensuring all safety protocols and quality standards are met.
- Communication: Clearly communicate test results and treatment plans to patients and healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong phlebotomy skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.
