Responsibilities
- Greet patients and prepare them for examinations by updating medical histories and recording vital signs.
- Assist providers during clinical procedures, including examinations and minor surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, prepare specimens, and maintain accurate records of test results.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, strictly following safety protocols.
- Coordinate patient appointments, manage billing inquiries, and handle front desk administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, such as Epic or Cerner.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
