Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely vital signs, patient assessments, and screenings under the supervision of physicians.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage patient records and medical history accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and preventative care.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, handle incoming calls, and process insurance referrals efficiently.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by licensed personnel.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centric care.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
- Valid New York State professional license or eligibility to obtain one.
