Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Care: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare patients for examinations by taking vitals and medical histories.
- Administrative Excellence: Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision, update patient charts, and ensure all documentation is HIPAA-compliant and accurate.
- Procedural Assistance: Assist providers with minor procedures, administer injections as directed, and perform basic laboratory testing (phlebotomy) with a steady hand.
- Communication: Act as the liaison between patients and the medical team, answering questions, scheduling follow-ups, and coordinating referrals.
- Operational Support: Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, restock supplies, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for every visitor.
- Remote Coordination: Utilize secure video conferencing tools to conduct patient triage and check-ins when off-site.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting (Remote experience preferred).
- Licensure: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to explain complex medical information clearly.
- Work Style: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing time effectively in a remote setting.
