Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and patient charts in strict compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient conditions and needs to nurses, physicians, and families to ensure coordinated care.
- Hygiene & Safety: Monitor and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in implementing care plans as directed by licensed staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered North Carolina CNA license required.
- CPR/BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical, long-term care, or acute care setting preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and maneuver patients as needed (frequently lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- License Validity: Valid state ID or driver's license required.
