Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign measurements and documentation
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and maintain sterile environments
- Manage electronic health records with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinic operational efficiency
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless care coordination
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in acute care setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic/Healthcare experience preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and OSHA protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Associate degree or certificate from accredited MA program
