Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterile environments and proper equipment
- Administer medications, injections, and perform vital sign assessments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Perform basic lab tests and phlebotomy procedures
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
