Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Medication Management: Accurately administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Vital Signs & Assessment: Monitor patient health status, record vital signs, and perform comprehensive assessments to identify changes in condition.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and up-to-date medical records, clinical notes, and shift reports in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal patient outcomes.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative health strategies to promote recovery.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations with composure and technical proficiency.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (PALS for pediatrics).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems and modern medical equipment.
