Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, patient assessments, and physical examinations under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner.
- Prepare and maintain medical records, including updating electronic health records (EHR) and ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Assist in clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and injections while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Greet and check in patients, managing front-desk operations to ensure a smooth patient flow.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and provide education on medications and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in examination rooms and laboratories.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) is highly preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centric care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
