Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical history, and updating medical records accurately.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications, and prepare injections as directed by physicians.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments, handling check-ins, and answering phone inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to explain procedures and treatment plans clearly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification (RMA/NCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable but not mandatory for top candidates.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
