Responsibilities
- Measure and record patient vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and sterilize medical equipment as directed.
- Manage patient records, including updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Administer medications and injections as authorized by the physician.
- Greet patients, answer phone inquiries, and schedule appointments.
- Provide patient education on medications, diets, and post-procedure care.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation preferred.
