Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intakes: Verify patient information, update medical records, and prepare patients for examination.
- Assist physicians: Provide direct support during patient exams, drawing blood, administering injections, and performing EKGs.
- Vital signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Inventory management: Maintain medical supplies and equipment, ensuring all rooms are stocked and sterilized.
- Administrative duties: Handle phone calls, schedule appointments, and process insurance forms accurately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or MA certification (or equivalent) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain strict confidentiality.
