Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and medical history intake accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare exam rooms with necessary medical equipment and supplies.
- Process and prepare laboratory specimens for testing and maintain accurate patient records in EMR.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, following strict protocols.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage incoming patient inquiries via phone and email.
- Ensure a clean, sanitized, and welcoming environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty medical setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a significant plus.
