Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and updating patient charts.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications or injections as directed by licensed physicians.
- Manage and maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Greet patients warmly, answer phones, and manage front-desk administrative duties to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Assist providers during examinations by handing instruments and providing patient education.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and ensure all patient concerns are addressed promptly.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent experience required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
