Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vitals, medical history, and updating records.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
- Manage inventory and order medical supplies.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling and billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
