Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and basic health screenings accurately.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms for cleanliness and sterility.
- Manage patient records, including updating electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
- Order and process laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging as directed by physicians.
- Handle patient billing and insurance verification with high attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
