Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- High school diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited medical assisting program is a plus.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
