Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and clinical notes in EHR systems
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Perform vital signs and basic lab tests (EKG, phlebotomy)
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Schedule patient appointments and handle insurance verification
- Coordinate with specialists to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient privacy (HIPAA)
