Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with patient examinations, taking vitals, and documenting medical histories accurately.
- Procedures: Perform basic clinical procedures such as venipuncture, EKGs, and spirometry as directed.
- Administrative Duties: Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and processing patient check-ins/outs.
- Lab Support: Process and prepare lab specimens for analysis and maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Communication: Clearly communicate test results and treatment plans to patients and relay critical information to the medical team.
- Inventory: Monitor and restock exam rooms, medical supplies, and equipment to ensure readiness.
- Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations, OSHA safety standards, and clinic protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or MA) or equivalent certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Licensure: Current Nevada State Medical Assistant license or certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability: Valid driver's license and clean background check required.
