Responsibilities
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and current symptoms.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed by physicians, and prepare blood samples for lab analysis.
- Manage patient flow in the clinic, including scheduling appointments and checking patients in/out.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, procedures, and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
