Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, physical exams, and accurate medical history documentation.
- Prepare examination rooms and patients for physician visits and procedures.
- Assist providers with minor surgical procedures and patient care.
- Manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, and electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of licensed providers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, or urgent care setting.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid New York State Medical Assistant license (if applicable).
