Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, height, and weight.
- Assist providers during patient examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and administer injections as directed.
- Manage patient intake, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient education on medications, diet, and lifestyle modifications.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and schedule follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Certificate, Diploma, or Associate Degree).
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
