Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, EKGs, and basic screenings accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting providers and explaining procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Assist with phlebotomy and specimen collection as required.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized according to health standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Handle front-desk administrative duties including scheduling and insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong computer literacy with experience in EMR/EHR software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
