Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by the provider, including taking vital signs and medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs, with high accuracy.
- Manage patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventative care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude.
