Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and health screenings accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during clinical procedures.
- Draw blood and collect non-invasive specimens for laboratory testing.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) and patient charts with precision.
- Administer medications and injections according to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and maintain a clean, organized clinic environment.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals to specialists.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Texas State Medical Assistant License.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or primary care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
