Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs measurement, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals with specialists
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant examination rooms
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) from accredited program
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse patients
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Washington State MA-C certification and BLS/CPR certification required
- Pass background check and drug screening
