Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and initial screenings to ensure smooth clinic flow.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and laboratory testing scheduling.
- Ensure examination rooms and equipment are clean, sanitized, and stocked.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding follow-up care and instructions.
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
