Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, measure vital signs, and update medical records accurately.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by licensed providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs when required.
- Manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and answering inquiries.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and wellness plans.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid California State Driver's License (if required for travel).
