Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, patient assessments, and EKGs
- Assist with medical procedures and examinations under physician supervision
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterile environments
- Manage patient flow and documentation in EHR systems
- Collect and process lab specimens accurately
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Phlebotomy and venipuncture certification
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Current CPR/BLS certification
