Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, medical history reviews, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist providers with clinical procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Manage administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, updating electronic health records (EHR), and handling insurance verification.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment in examination rooms and lab areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, answering inquiries and ensuring comfort.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic setting and adapt to changing priorities.
