Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake assessments, including taking vital signs, medical history, and updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Coordinate and process laboratory specimens accurately.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
