Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, instruments, and equipment
- Perform vital signs measurements and EKG screenings
- Administer injections and medications per physician protocol
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely room turnover
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist with lab specimen collection and processing
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency in EHR systems and medical software
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays (7am-7pm)
