Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterility and proper inventory
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Handle patient scheduling, insurance verification, and front-desk duties
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with specialists and pharmacies for seamless care transitions
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy proficiency
- Expertise in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong communication skills and cultural competency
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Flexibility to cover Saturday/Sunday shifts (6AM-6PM)
- Background check and drug screen required
