Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient preparation
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation in EHR systems
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations on weekends
- Handle patient inquiries and provide clear after-care instructions
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification and California MA certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to multitask
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays with rotating shifts
