Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations, vitals, and history taking.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians.
- Manage patient charts, including electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
- Greet patients, check them in, and ensure a welcoming clinic environment.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure a clean, sanitized workspace.
- Handle insurance verification and patient referrals.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA, RMA, or CNA certification (or eligible to obtain).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with flexibility.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records software.
