Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient intake, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and current medications.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers, strictly following safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) using our proprietary software.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage test result notifications.
- Ensure the examination rooms are stocked, clean, and sanitized according to infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are required.
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary medical training preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician’s office or urgent care setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
