Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations on weekends
- Administer injections and assist with minor surgical procedures
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile examination rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize weekend patient experience
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification and current Ohio CPR card
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athena, or similar preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and EKG skills with proven competency
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to cover occasional weekday shifts as needed
