Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) and medical histories.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments for weekend clinics.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Ensure patient comfort and privacy during all interactions.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or AthenaHealth experience a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment up to 50 lbs.
