Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and accurately document medical histories and symptoms.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory of medical supplies.
- Administer injections and perform basic laboratory tests, such as point-of-care testing.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage prescription refills.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is mandatory.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced weekend environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (optional but recommended).
