Responsibilities
- Administer patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and document accurate medical histories.
- Prepare patients for examination by the physician, ensuring privacy and comfort.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, sterilize equipment, and assist with minor medical procedures.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and process insurance referrals.
- Provide exceptional customer service and education to patients regarding treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment in compliance with hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification (RMA/MA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be available to work weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
