Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean clinical environment.
- Perform basic phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing as needed.
- Manage patient intake, registration, and insurance verification efficiently.
- Document patient medical history and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, answering questions and providing education.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
