Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, including verifying insurance information and updating medical histories.
- Perform accurate vital sign measurements, physical assessments, and basic clinical procedures.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with high attention to detail and compliance.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens for testing.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments, referrals, and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment following strict infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA (American Registry), RMA (AMT), or NCMA certification.
- Valid California State Licensure or registration (if applicable).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Saturday and/or Sunday) as required.
