Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify demographics and insurance information accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with attire and positioning.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations).
- Perform basic laboratory procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures as directed.
- Manage patient records and electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
- Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
