Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, weight, height, and EKGs.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient intake, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Clinical Procedures: Assist providers with examinations, minor procedures, and specimen collection (phlebotomy).
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Inventory Management: Maintain clean and organized exam rooms, restock supplies, and ensure compliance with sterilization protocols.
- Education: Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventative care measures.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) consistently.
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
