Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical histories accurately.
- Assist physicians and advanced practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers; monitor patient responses.
- Perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., urinalysis, blood draws) following strict safety protocols.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision, updating patient charts and ensuring compliance with HIPAA.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and handle insurance verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized examination environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Proficiency in computer systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
