Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, obtain vital signs, and document medical history accurately.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Perform basic phlebotomy and EKG procedures as required.
- Manage patient scheduling, confirmations, and insurance verification.
- Handle patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
