Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, including verifying demographics, reviewing medical history, and recording vital signs accurately.
- Assist providers with examinations, minor office procedures, and patient education.
- Prepare and administer medications, injections, and vaccines following strict protocols.
- Maintain and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments, referrals, and lab results.
- Ensure examination rooms and medical equipment are sanitized and organized for every patient.
- Handle front desk duties such as answering phones, scheduling, and managing patient inquiries efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- San Jose residency or willingness to commute to the area.
