Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Take vital signs, prepare patients, and maintain accurate medical records
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Manage patient flow and ensure clean exam rooms
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient education and appointment scheduling
- Utilize EHR systems for documentation and billing
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Georgia Medical Assistant certification required
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
