Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure clean, stocked examination rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, billing codes, and referrals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends (Sat/Sun) with some holidays
- North Carolina state MA license in good standing
